The new Pastor of Dromore Elim Pentecostal Church, Pastor Steven Neill, was inducted on Friday 2nd September 2005. Steven, who has been Pastor at Newcastle Elim Church for the past six years, still lives near Newcastle, but he his wife Donna and children Jordan - age 9 and Reuben - age 5, hopes to move to Dromore soon.

Steven and his family join a thriving town centre church that meet for worship each Sunday at 11.15am and 6.30pm. The congregation was formed in April 1988 out of a house group from Hillsborough Elim Pentecostal Church and first met for worship on the top floor of the present Bridge Street Meeting House. The building was formerly used by the Dromore Christian Workers Union, prior to the opening of their new hall at the top of Meeting Street in November 1953. In October 2000, the Elim congregation moved to their present location on the bottom floor of the building and the top floor is now used by Dromore Youth for Christ as a drop-in centre for youths called The Base.
