SPEND an evening with author Stephen Mansfield at
the Kingdom Life Faith Centre in Lisburn on Thursday (December
8).
The accomplished author will be introducing his
new book, an authorised biography of writer, broadcaster,
teacher and evangelist Derek Prince, who died in 2003. Prince was one of the leading teachers in the
Charismatic Renewal. The book follows him from his difficult
child-hood in India, his years as an atheist at Cambridge
University and his conversion to Christianity while serving in
the British Army in World War II. He was to found Derek Prince Ministries, teaching
the bible in more than 60 languages and 120 nations.
One of his greatest gifts was explaining the
bible and its teaching in a clear and simple way. His
non-denominational, non-sectarian approach has made his teaching
equally relevant and helpful to people from all backgrounds.
When the book's author, Stephen Mansfield was growing up he
listened to Derek Prince's teaching tapes and was with Prince in
the days before he died.
Mansfield is also the author of 'Never Give In:
The Extraordinary Character of Winston Churchill'.
The book, 'Derek Prince, A Biography: A Teacher
For Our Time', will be launched at the Lisburn event and will be
available to buy, priced 12.99, on the night.
Stephen Mansfield will be attending the Kingdom
Life Faith Centre in Graham Gardens on Thursday December 8 at
7.30pm.
