About 800 young people attended 1 Way - a
major youth event held in the Lagan Valley Leisureplex, Lisburn
last Saturday night. 1 Way
is the vehicle
Crown Jesus Ministries
use to reach the youth generation for Jesus Christ. There was a
band, drama and dance team from churches across Northern
Ireland. Lisburn Youth Workers - Stephen Auld from Elmwood
Church and Matt Craig from First Lisburn, gave an interesting
overview of a Lisburn Youth Outreach programme called - Focus.
Using a Powerpoint presentation Stephen and Matt pointed out
that there are 35,000 young people in Lisburn and 134 churches
and places of worship; and explained their involvement as youth
workers in outreach to the young people in Lisburn. In the main
address, Philip Kerr, an Evangelist with Crown Jesus Ministries,
gave a very challenging talk entitled He Has Done It based on
Psalm 22. Philip, who is a very gifted youth speaker, spoke
about the horror of the cross and of the suffering Saviour who
died for you and for me.
