A
Children�s Day Service was held at Aghalee Free Presbyterian
Church on Sunday afternoon 18th June. The minister, the Rev
Cairin Salt, led the service and Sharon Edwards and Laura
Wilkinson on piano led the praise. Children taking part in
Bible readings, recitals and singing were: Matthew, Gemma &
Jonathan Thompson, Judith & Suzanna Crowe, Samuel & Luke
Davison, Andrew, Nathan & Chloe Hull, Hannah Douglas, Rachel
Park, Hannah, Beth, Philip & Rachel Logan, Philip & Timothy
Patterson, Dynika Camlin, Serena Gorman, Rebecca Stringer,
Jordan, Cameron, Nicholas & Christopher Salt, Timothy, Aaron &
Samuel Martin, Laura & Grace Wilkinson, Emma Gawley, Emma &
Daniel Barclay and Alexander Leitch.
In his address, guest speaker Mark
Telford presented a clear Gospel message to the children. He
chose as his text � �O taste and see that the Lord is Good� and
using a variety of chocolate bars he explained that God made the
Galaxy, Mars, Milky Way and animals (Lion bar). We serve a
great God who made babies (Jelly Babies) but our hearts are
stained with sin (Black Jacks). He asked the children to be
Smarties and trust the Lord Jesus Christ because He can wash
your black heart white (Milky Bar). He went on to say that we
are Drifters through life and explaining that life is no Picnic,
he spoke of the great Bounty of God�s love.
