A large crowd of over 235 children attended
a hugely successful Holiday Bible Club at 1st Dromara
Presbyterian Church last week on Monday 26th to Friday 30th
June. Led by Ian McCullagh and a team of 34 leaders, the fun
packed programme included: Bible Stories, Lively singing,
Videos, Games, Quizzes, Competitions, Memory verses, Crafts, and
lots more.
The elevated
site of the church grounds with panoramic views of the adjoining
countryside and beautiful sunny weather created the idyllic
setting for a barbeque on Friday evening as over 550 children
and parents enjoyed the final night of the Holiday Bible Club
and the start of school holidays. Gransha Pipe Band led by Pipe
Major Robert Greer, further adding to the great holiday
atmosphere.
First Dromara
has witnessed tremendous growth in recent years. Encouraged by
their minister, the Rev Shaw Thompson, the Bible Club leaders
headed up by Ian McCullagh, have put in an enormous effort
during the year. New families to the area found a warm welcome
and quickly became part of things.
