A two-week Gospel
Mission is being held in the Christian Workers� Union Hall,
Market Street, Lisburn. The meetings, which commenced on Sunday
12th March will conclude on Sunday 26th
March, and are being held each evening (except Monday) at 8.00pm
and Saturday evenings at 7.30pm. There will be various singers
each evening and the theme of the Mission is �Evangelising the
lost and offering salvation in JESUS NAME.� The guest speaker,
the Rev. Norman Fox - Evangelist, is no stranger to Lisburn. He
entered Bible College in 1978 and from 1980 - 1984 he served as
a Methodist Minister in Portadown
/Lurgan then in Fermanagh 1984 - 1988. Mr. Fox was
Minister of Lisburn Congregational Church from 1988 - 2003 and
since then has been a Missionary to Eastern Europe. Last Sunday
evening, Mr. Fox chose as his text: John 11 v 28, �The Master is
come, and calleth for thee�. Joseph Lockhart led the service
and the soloist was Neville Black from Markethill. Joanne
Watterson on piano led the singing of great old Gospel hymns
that included, �Whiter than the snow� and �He that believeth on
the Son, said he, hath everlasting life�.
