At a PWA service on Sunday evening 29th
October, members of Railway Street Presbyterian Women�s
Association were presented with a digital piano in memory of
Miss Elaine Henderson, a longstanding and devoted member of the
PWA. Mr Ivor Ferguson, representing the Henderson family
presented the gift for dedication to Mrs Norma Coggins -
President, who received it on behalf of the PWA. The minister,
the Rev Brian Gibson, dedicated the piano to the glory of God.
In her prayer following the dedication,
Miss Edith McConnell thanked God for the example of Elaine and
her sisters shown in their love, loyalty, support and service to
their church and to the PWA.
The new piano was used throughout the
service, which was led by Mrs Norma Coggins, with other PWA
members taking part in Bible reading and prayer.
Mrs Anthea Harrison, editor of �Wider
World� gave the address, speaking on the PWA theme for this year
- �Servants of the King�.
Light refreshments were served after the
service.
