StreetReach will be held on Thursday 20th
to Saturday 22nd April, the venues are Elmwood
Presbyterian and Lisburn Elim. Originally an initiative of
Summer Madness Youth Event, it channels young people, ages 15
years upwards into a practical demonstration of God�s love in
the local community. Projects and activities will include: Car
wash, painting, lifting rubbish, doing gardens, testing and if
necessary fitting Smoke Alarms, games with local kids, creative
wall murals and so forth.
The event is being supported by Crown Jesus
Ministries, the Church Army and the following 19 Lisburn
churches: Lisburn Cathedral, Christ Church, St. Paul�s and St.
Mark�s - Church of Ireland Churches; First Lisburn, Railway
Street, Sloan Street, Elmwood, St. Columba�s and Harmony Hill -
Presbyterian Churches; Emmanuel and Lisburn - Baptist Churches;
Kingdom Life and Lisburn - Elim Churches; Trinity Methodist;
Mount Zion Free Methodist; Church of the Nazarene; The Salvation
Army; and the recently formed Fresh Oil Church. It is also
working in co-operation with the Lisburn Mayor, Lisburn City
council and Summer Madness (StreetReach), Belfast.
A typical day on StreetReach will be:
Morning

10.00am - Arrive at base for
tea/coffee before prayers in teams, worship and
inspirational teaching.

12noon - Leave base for local
churches
Lunchtime
Afternoon

2.00pm - Outreach into community in
teams (gardens, painting, etc)

5.00pm - Pack up, pray and return
home.
