afternoon is David Morrison. Julia and Adam are from

School.
During the week prior to Christmas a team of young people
from Wallace High School and Friends School Lisburn raised
2235 for Christian Aid. Organised by Jamie Humphries and
Michael Hunter, they went carol singing door-to-door around
different areas in Lisburn on Saturday 16th - Sunday 24th
December from 6:30pm to 9:00pm each evening (most of the money
was raised this way) arriving back at Jamie and Jordan
Humphries house for hot chocolate and mince pies.
On Wednesday afternoon (20th December) they raised 110.63 going
around Wallace High School classrooms singing to teachers and
pupils, then singing in the school courtyard at the end of the
day. On Saturday afternoon (23rd December) between 1:00pm and
4:00pm they raised nearly 500 carolling in Lisburn city centre,
singing a total of 65 carols (13 different carols 5 times each).
Jamie Humphries says It certainly wasnt a chore, we all loved
it and were just glad to bring smiles to so many peoples faces
- raising the money was a real bonus. For the most part, the
people we sang to really enjoyed it. The young people would
like to thank all those who opened the doors to them each
evening, the students and teachers of Wallace High School and
the Lisburn City Centre shoppers who donated so generously to
this worthy cause.
