 An
event called 'Lisburn Ablaze' organised by representatives from
some of our local churches, will be held in the Kingdom Life
Church, Graham Gardens on Monday 5th November (appropriately
Bonfire Night) at 8.00 pm.
The programme, which centres on worship will be led by musicians
from our local churches and interspersed with short periods of
Biblical exhortation and intercessory prayer focused on the
needs of our community in Lisburn and the desire to see the
reviving power of God's Spirit at work in the city of Lisburn.
The American church leader, Bill Hybels often says that, 'the
local church is the hope of the world'. The vision for 'Lisburn
Ablaze!' is to see many local Christians uniting to take
responsibility in prayer and action for the community around us.
Initially it is hoped that the event will be held twice a year
(autumn and spring), in and around the various local churches
that want to be involved.
Everyone will be made most welcome at this inaugural event.
