top prize in the parish magazine category of the
recent Church of Ireland magazine and website

Magheragall Parish News, the magazine of Magheragall Parish
Church has won top prize in the parish magazine category of the
Church of Ireland magazine and website competition. The Most
Reverend Alan Harper, Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All
Ireland, presented editors Joan and George Greenfield with the
award on the last day of General Synod 2007 in recognition of
their contribution in promoting communications both internally
and externally for the Church. Presenting the awards, the
Archbishop said, 'In congratulating the winners, I am also
delighted to acknowledge the hard work of all those who
contribute, mostly in a voluntary capacity, to communicating the
message of the Church'.
The rector of Magheragall Parish Church, the Rev Nicholas Dark
was delighted the magazine had been recognised in this way. Last
year, Bobby Cunningham, former webmaster of the Parish's website
won top prize in the website category.
