Former Maghaberry Elim Pastor Johnny Brown was inducted as
the new pastor of Portadown Elim on Thursday 8th
February. After nearly four years as their loyal Pastor, Mr
Brown preached his farewell sermon at an emotional service
in Maghaberry Elim Pentecostal Church on Sunday evening 4th
February. Since his induction at Maghaberry in July 2003,
Johnny has been greatly assisted by his wife Emma and they
have been pleased to see increased attendances at Sunday
worship and at the midweek Prayer and Bible Study meetings.
Over the last three years the numbers attending Sunday
services have increased to about 60 - 80 and many have been
brought to saving grace. At their Healings Services they
have seen tremendous results of answered prayer, when a
woman was cured of cancer and a girl cured of a bowel
disorder.
Pastor Brown, who has enjoyed nearly four years
fellowship with the congregation of Meghaberry Elim says,
?The only reason I am leaving Maghaberry is that I felt the
call to move to Portadown?. Johnny, Emma and their 4 year
old son Aaron will be moving to their new home in Portadown
in about 5 weeks time.
