the first of a family of four and has two sisters and one
brother. After attending Aberlady Primary School (east of
Edinburgh) and Saint Adians School in Cootehill, Co Cavan, he
attended Queen's University Belfast and graduated in 1995 with a
Bachelor of Divinity degree and in 2001 with a Masters Degree in
Theology.
He commenced his ministry as an assistant pastor in Hill Street
Baptist Church, Ballymena where he served for two years prior to
being called to his present charge as Pastor of Emmanuel Baptist
Church, Ballymacash.
Robert is married to Elaine and they have five children -
Katherine (10), Jayne (9), Adam (6), Grace (5), Caleb (3). The
family plan to leave Lisburn at the end of the year
(circumstances permitting) with a view to Robert taking up his
post on the 1st January 2008. Members of the congregation and
friends will have the opportunity to say their final goodbyes at
a farewell reception in Wallace High School on Friday 30th
November.
