As
at many churches throughout the city of Lisburn and beyond,
children from First Lisburn Presbyterian Church have been
counting down the Advent Season as they lit candles at morning
worship during the last three weeks. The candles, lit in order
on the four Sundays before Christmas, are the candles of - hope,
peace, joy and love. They grow brighter each week until on
Christmas morning the central candle is lit representing the
birth of Jesus Christ - 'the reason for the season'.
Next Sunday at 11.00am children from morning Sunday School will
present the Children's Nativity and at 5.30pm there will be
carols and lessons followed by refreshments in the main hall.
