At morning worship in Lisburn Cathedral on Sunday 22nd July, the
Rector, the Rev Canon Sam Wright introduced a Youth for Christ
Summerserve team comprising of 12 young people from Lisburn,
Antrim, Ballymena, Newtownards, Whitehead and as far away as
America and Germany. Led by Craig Hutton and Zara Wortley
(Lisburn Cathedral) the team have been involved in community
work and conducting children's clubs this week in Hillhall and
on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th July, they will hold a Fusion
Disco in Lisburn Cathedral Church Hall from 7.30pm to 10.00pm.
From Monday 30th July to Friday 3rd August the team will assist
leaders John O'Neil and Karen Webb (Church Army) at the Holiday
Bible Club 'Waste Watchers' in Lisburn Cathedral Church Hall.
Catering for children of primary school age P1 to P7 the club
will be held each morning from 10.30 to 12.00pm and the fun
packed week of songs, quizzes, dance and games will conclude on
Sunday 5th July with a Children's Bible Week Service in Lisburn
Cathedral at 11.00am.
