The singing of the well-known opening hymn, 'All things bright
and beautiful' aptly described the idyllic setting for a Garden
Party held in the grounds of Kilwarlin Moravian Church on
Saturday afternoon (14th June). The recently installed minister,
the Rev Patsy Holdsworth, led the singing of this well-known
hymn followed by a prayer. The chairman, Mr Ronnie Macartney
(University Road Moravian, Belfast) welcomed everyone and Mrs
Elizabeth Ward officially pronounced the party open.
Cream teas and strawberry and cream were served in the church
hall and at tables in the beautiful grounds of this historic
church. There were a variety of cakes, plants, crafts, white
elephant and bookstalls and also a tombola, bouncy castle and
children's fancy dress parade and live musical entertainment.
