A brief history of Railway Street Presbyterian Church was presented to the 422 group in Railway Street church hall on Thursday 24th April. The half-hour PowerPoint presentation showed over 100 photos, which will be included in a new book being compiled to record 150 years of worship in Railway Street Presbyterian Church. The publication of this book is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Mr Victor Hamilton, grandson of the third minister of Railway Street, the Very Rev Dr Robert Wilson Hamilton (1885-1935). The book will be available for purchase in November/December this year at an affordable price of around 5. When you are planning to buy a Christmas gift for a friend, why not consider buying this book which charts the history of the recently refurbished church since its formation in November 1860.
