Lisburn charge at a farewell service in Trinity Methodist Church
on Sunday evening 29th June.
Circuit Superintendent, the Rev Brian Anderson (Seymour Street
Methodist) led the prayers and the Scripture lessons were read
by the Rev Robert Wallace (Retired minister of Dromore and
Priesthill), Ms Angela Sofley (Lay Pastoral Assistant) and the
Rev Dr Edmund Mawhinney (Assisting Retired Minister -

with the praise group led the worship, which included, My heart
is filled with thankfulness.
In his final sermon as their minister, Mr Webster told his three
congregations present to take care of souls; of holiness; and
fellowship. He thanked the congregations for their support and
friendliness and went on to thank Ms Angela Sofley, the Rev Dr
Edmund Mawhinney and his family for all their assistance during
his seven year ministry in Lisburn during which he saw two of
his five sons married and also spoke of the delight that both he
and his wife experienced when they became proud grandparents to
Joshua. He concluded by wishing everyone Gods blessing.
Mr Richard Maze, Society Steward, made presentations on behalf
of the circuit to Clive and Lesley and also to their sons Stuart
and Ian.
The Rev Brian Mr Anderson thanked Clive for his faithfulness to
the Gospel; his love for Christ; and also for the energy which
he gave to the Circuit. Referring to the words which Clive used
in his sermon, he concluded by saying to Clive and Lesley, Take
care.
Mr Webster, who was installed here in July 2001, moved on
Thursday of this week to be the Superintendent Minister of the
Dungannon Circuit of Methodist Churches. He will be succeeded by
