Representatives from the 22 churches of Dromore Presbytery attended a United Service in Railway Street Presbyterian Church, Lisburn last Sunday evening (9th November). The Moderator of Dromore Presbytery, the Rev David Porter (Second Dromara) conducted the service and the preacher was The Right Rev Dr Donald Patton, Moderator of the General Assembly who spoke on lessons from Nehemiah for today�s church. The Rt Worshipful the Mayor, Councillor Ronnie Crawford and the Rt Hon Jeffrey Donaldson MP MLA were the special guests.

Bertha Cowan presided at the organ and together with Janet Ferguson, Director of Music, the church choir and the praise band led the singing of congregational hymns that included, �Jesus is Lord� and �The Church�s one foundation�.

Rev Howard Gilpin (Moira) conducted an interview introducing the three newest ministers of the Dromore Presbytery - Rev James Todd (St Columba�s), Rev Paul Jamieson (Hillhall) and the Rev Angus McCullough (Magheragall).

An offering was taken for the Moderator�s Charity - Gujranwala Theological Seminary, Pakistan

Refreshments were served in the Church Hall after the Service allowing the congregation to meet and chat with the moderator and his wife Florence.
