‘Voices of Life Choir’, a group of seventeen teenagers from Uganda, will perform a series of concerts across Ireland. Venues in Lisburn and the surrounding area are St John’s, Moira on Sunday 6th September at 7.00pm; Christ Church, Lisburn on Friday 11th September at 7.00pm; St Aidan’s Parish Church, Glenavy on Saturday 12th September at 7.30pm; and Saintfield Parish Church on Wednesday 16th September at 7.30pm. The young people aged from 12 to 15 are from four different schools in Uganda, and live in some of the worst areas of poverty and deprivation in East Africa. They are in Northern Ireland to say thank you to those who have made donations through the Fields of Life charity, for their schools and education in Uganda and neighbouring Burundi. The night will be packed full of entertainment and you will leave with a smile on your face and warmth in your heart as they sing, dance, drum and use visuals to speak of their faith. So, come along and enjoy a great night out - you will be made most welcome. Admission is free but there will be an offering to assist the work of Fields of Life in building another school in neighbouring Burundi. There will also be an opportunity to purchase authentic African crafts and CD’s of the choir.
