Annual Community Service held in Drumbeg Parish

THE outgoing Mayor, Councillor Allan Ewart and his wife Denise were the special guests at the Annual Community Service in the Parish Church of St Patrick, Drumbeg.

The rector, the Rev Raymond Devenney, led the service which was organised by the officers and members of Drumbeg Residents Association.

The Scripture lessons were read by the Mayor and Rosalind Bloomfield (Women's Institute); the prayers were led by Suzanne Reid (Neighbourhood Watch), Shirley McWilliam (Badminton Club), Maureen Lindsay (Art Club) and Audrey Jackson (Gardening Club); and Lady Karen Girvan (Action
Medical Research) gave the address.

Organist Ross Morrow and the Choir of St Patrick's' Drumbeg led the worship.

The hymns included 'Lord of beauty'' 'I the Lord of sea and sky' and 'Shall we gather at the river. The anthem was 'Let all the world in every corner sing.
