DAVID Shepherd, the Principal of Belfast Bible College, will conduct a Bible ministry entitled 'Conversations with the Creator' in the Upper Room of First Lisburn Presbyterian Church on Sunday evening February I4, 2I and 28 from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.
The topics David will discuss will be, on Sunday February I4, 'What is faith?' on February 2I, 'What is Justice?' and on February 28, 'What is sacrifice?'. The Prayer Healing Ministry Team will be available after the services where you are invited to bring your Bible. Music Group will take part and tea will be provided afterwards for those who would like to stay and chat.
Having come from Canada to complete doctoral studies in Edinburgh, David ministered at St. Paul's and St. George's Scottish Episcopal Church before returning to Canada to join the faculty of Briercrest Seminary in 2001, first as associate professor of Old Testament and later as Dean of the Seminary.
Since 2005 he has served as Principal of Belfast Bible College and Lecturer in Old Testament at Queen's University Belfast, speaking throughout the Province and beyond.
Licensed to preach in the Diocese of Connor, he attends and assists at St. Colman's, Church of Ireland in Dunmurry where he lives with his wife Hilda and their two daughters, Anna and Sophie.
