LISBURN Mayor Alderman Paul Porter hosted a civic reception in Lagan Valley Island for Lisburn City Elim's 'Happiness and Harmony Club' on Friday afternoon November 19.
Also in attendance was their new pastor, Darren McWilliams. Originally from Bangor, Darren married Belfast woman Nichola Williamson and the couple who now live in North Belfast are looking forward to the birth of their first child in February. Darren trained for the ministry at Belfast College (2004-2006) where he gained a Diploma in Christian Services. He was assistant pastor at Banbridge Elim from 2007 and was inducted as Senior Pastor of Lisburn City Elim Church on October 29 2010 in succession to Pastor Norman Christie, who will continue in a supporting role.
