MAGHABERRY Elim Church will be shaken to its core on Easter Sunday evening when the top Ulster Christian rock band, Inflame, takes to the stage.
The concert starts at 6.30pm in the village church, which is opposite the local primary school.
Since -its formation five years ago, Inflame has become one of the top names in the Christian rock scene. The popular four-piece band is made up of born-again Christians from various Elim and Presbyterian churches in the Co Armagh region, including Richhill, Portadown and Lurgan.
Lead singer and guitarist Andy Magwood said: "The Maghaberry concert is just part of a series before we release our 12-track debut CD in the summer, which is entitled 'Gift of God'.
"We are essentially a Christian rock music, praise and worship band, and we play a combination of our own material and cover songs."
Maghaberry church pastor, Mr Paul Evans, said: "The Inflame concert is part of an evangelical outreach programme for the local village and the surrounding community.
"We will be holding an outreach mission for the community, too, beginning on Sunday April 25 and running until Wednesday April 28. "The opening Sunday night of the mission will also see the prizegiving service for our highly popular junior youth club, Detonate.
"We have also just finished a very successful 10-week Bible study entitled Christianity Explored, and we hope to have four further sessions in the coming weeks. This will compliment our regular Wednesday evening Bible study in the church." More information about Inflame and its new album can be obtained from the band's website www.inflamepraise.com.
