A NEW pastor has been installed at Lisburn Elim Church.
The congregation and Pastor Norman Christie welcomed Darren McWilliams and his wife Nichola to Lisburn last Sunday (October 31).
Mr McWilliams, who studied at Belfast Bible College before serving as Assistant Pastor at Banbridge Elim for three years, was inducted into Lisburn Elim by General Superintendent Eric McComb.
Special guest Pastor Pius Munembe, the Superintendent of Elim Churches in Zimbabwe, also paid a visit to Lisburn Elim for the special occasion.
"I am looking forward to my time as Pastor at Lisburn City Elim and appreciate the warm welcome I have received," said Mr McWilliams.
"I look forward to working alongside Pastor Christie, who has served as Pastor in Lisburn City Elim for the last 17 years, and our desire is to see the Church continue to grow and be relevant to the people of Lisburn."
Mr McWilliams is married to wife Nichola and the couple are expecting their first child in February- Pastor Christie will be remaining at Lisburn Elim, however Mr McWilliams will be taking over the day to day running of the church.
