MEMBERS of Trinity Boardmills Presbyterian Church gathered to mark the retirement of their minister, Rev Thomas Irvine Harte BA BD last Wednesday evening.
They were joined by friends and colleagues including representatives from Crumlin Road congregation in North Belfast Presbytery where Tom served for many years before coming to Boardmills some nine years ago.
Tributes were paid to Rev Harte's selfless devotion to the congregation and in particular his tireless work as a pastor to the people of Boardmills.
Gifts were presented to Rev and Mrs. Audrey Harte by Church treasurer Mrs. June Kirkpatrick, senior elder, Mr. Frank Fox JP and his wife Anna.
After tributes were paid and other gifts presented by Crumlin Road Congregation and St Andrews Church of Ireland Killaney, supper was served in the adjoining church hall.
