New Youth Worker appointed at Railway Street Presbyterian

STEPHEN Kerr has been appointed as the new part-time Youth Worker at Railway Street Presbyterian Church. Twenty-three year old Stephen, who commenced his employment at Railway Street at the beginning of September, grew up in Lisburn and attended Friends' School before progressing to Stranmillis University College where he obtained a BEd degree in Religious Studies.
Over the years, he has been involved in youth work at both Hillhall and Legacurry Presbyterian Churches.
Stephen is a keen runner and also enjoys hill walking, rock climbing and water sports; he loves good movies and is a big music fan but rarely listens to anything recorded after about 1991.
He is enjoying settling in at Railway Street and seizing the opportunities that God has for him.
At a Youth Commissioning Service on Sunday 2nd October, the minister, the Rev Brian Gibson, introduced Stephen to the assembled uniformed organisations.
After speaking about the recommencement of Youth Fellowship of which he will be the new leader, Stephen then gave an inspirational talk to the BB, Guides and members of Railway Street congregation who joined with the young people for morning worship.
