THE Most Reverend Dr Noel Treanor, Bishop of Down and Connor, has officially opened St Patrick's Pastoral Centre on Lisburn's Chapel Hill.
Welcoming parishioners, visitors and guests to the new city centre complex, Bishop Treanor said, With the impressive restoration of St Patrick's Church and the new parochial house, this beautifully designed Pastoral Centre is the fitting finishing touch of which the whole
Parish of Lisburn should be proud.
"It is an outward sign of the growing confidence within the parish and a valuable adjunct to the religious life of St Patrick's".

Lisburn Parish Priest Fr Dermot t McCaughan added: The magnificent new Pastoral Centre provides a much needed resource not only for the parishioners of St Patrick's Parish but the city of Lisburn and continues a tradition established in 1889 in the old St Joseph's Hall of serving all the people of Lisburn.
The Pastoral Centre is already proving successful, under the management of Pat t Catney, catering for a wide range of activities and entertainment for all ages from sports, health and fitness to arts and crafts.
"I have no doubt that the Pastoral Centre will prove to be a major focus for social activities in the parish in the future and will grow from strength to strength".
The Blaris Suite in the centre was packed to capacity on Saturday evening for a Gala Concert celebrating the Official OpeThe compere was BBC Presenter Donna Traynor and taking part were Sean Crummey (writer and voices behind 'Folks on the Hill'), Depo McGuigan Irish Dancers, Hillsborough Drama Group, Lisburn Youth Dancers and Cleland Memorial Pipe Band.Starburst Theatre School performed 'It's Time to Shine', Fusion Theatre performed 'Songs from the Shows' and St Patrick's tenor and centre manager Pat Catney performed a 'Tribute to Josef Locke.
Fr Dermot concluded by thanking all who attended and gave a special thanks to Donna Traynor and all who took part in what was a great evening of entertainment.
