A new Drum Majors class has been started in the Methodist Church Hall Carryduff, which was formerly the Carryduff Unionist Hall.
Taking the class will be former instructor with the Belvoir Drum Majors Alicia Dickson. Anyone needing more information can telephone 90-814456.
Belvoir Drum Majors under their new tutor Kathleen Smyth of the Frank Rainey Memorial Pipe Band are up and running with a dozen new drum majors on the floor.
The class has already started work for their annual display on the 25 February. The class meets from 2 to 4pm in the Belvoir Parish Church Hall and everyone is welcome to drop in during that time.
Banbridge Drum Majors are also working hard and they meet at the Bowling Club Pavilion on Saturday mornings from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
This class is taught by ex world champion drum majors and has 30 pupils. Mervyn Herron is the man to contact about the Banbridge class and his number is 40 624849.
