					 Q&A

					 MARION
McGlade, 23, from Lambeg, is studying to be a journalist at
Belfast Institute. She has just completed a month's work
					experience at the Star.
What do you like doing on your day
					off?
I love reading, walking and shopping. I'm a typical
girl. Then at night I like to go out for a lovely meal and
party the night away whenever I get the chance.
If you were to choose your favourite
meal what would it be, where and why?
I really like spicy food, especially stir frys and I also
like Italian food. I would go to the Plough in Hillsborough
or Speranzas in Belfast. I enjoy atmospheric places where
you feel you can relax and chill rather than be all stuffy.
Pub grub is hard to beat.
What has been your proudest moment?
I have had a lot of proud moments in my life but
graduating from Queens University two years ago was a great
					feeling.
What was the most frightening moment
					of your life?
Losing my mum and dad in a shop when I was little and on
holiday. I thought I was never going to find them and was
					crying my eyes out.
How would you describe your taste in
					clothes?
I like to dress smartly but spend most of the time in
jeans and a t-shirt. I can't really remember the most
expensive item but I did spend 80 on a pair of black
knee-length boots that I always wear.
What would you do if you won a million
					pounds?
Buy a lovely big house with good-sized garden and treat my
family to some of the money.
What was your most embarrassing moment?

I've had plenty of those which I won't be divulging.
					What music do you like?
A mix of everything from chart to indie, Kaiser Chiefs
to Sugababes. My taste changes all the time.
What sports person do you most admire?
I'm into a mix of sport and don't really follow anyone
at the moment. I am a big motor racing fan though and
followed Joey Dunlop when I was growing up.
					Describe your best ever holiday.
My dream holiday would be somewhere tropical with clear
blue sea and warm sands. My best holiday was in Holland when
					I was visiting a friend.
What is your greatest remaining ambition?
To go onto a successful career in my profession and be
					more adventurous.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity
					whom would you choose?
Graham Norton - just to see what he is like.
If you were stranded on a desert island
what three things would you want with you?
My mobile phone, books and music to keep me occupied.

					FAVOURITE THINGS.....
