					 Q&A

					 NICK
Maltman, 23, is interested in pursuing a career in
journalism and spent a week at the Star. Currently studying
English at Queen's University, he works part time and plays
					for Lisburn Rugby Club.
What do you like doing on your day off?
I love a lie-in, late lunch and shopping. The evening
usually revolves around meeting friends for drinks and a bit
					of craic
					What's your favourite meal?
Recently I ate in Deanes@Queens and loved the restaurant
as well the fancy fish and chips, but ideally breakfast in
bed, which allows me to combine sleeping with eating - my
					two favourite pastimes.
What has been your proudest moment?
My mum re-married seven years ago and I gave her away -
an emotional and really happy experience.
What was your most frightening moment
					?
Last week when I did a sponsored abseil at the Europa
hotel for the children's hospice. I've never been afraid of
heights until I lost my footing at the top and made the
mistake of looking over my shoulder at Great Victoria Street
					about 120 feet below.
How would you describe your taste in
					clothes?
My wardrobe is bulging with some horrendous fashion
mistakes - my early teen years seemed to cultivate a
penchant for flowery Hawaiian shirts - I haven't the heart
					to throw them out.
What would you do if you won a million
					pounds?
Obviously I'd want my family to be comfortable and I think
with a million you should donate some to charity. I'm sure
whatever was left I would invest in some ill-fated, possibly
					short-lived venture.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
Probably something involving the aforementioned flowery
shirts. I'm not as much fashion conscious as self-conscious.
					What music do you like?
I listen to all types of music. I was lucky enough to
get tickets for Glastonbury this year and particularly
enjoyed The Babyshambles, the Rakes, Kasabian, The Editors,
					Chemical Brothers, CSS and Razorlight.
What sports person do you most admire?
Brian O'Driscoll - globally acknowledged as one of the
best players in his position in the world, but also as Irish
captain he is a great spokesperson and ambassador for the
					team.
What would your dream holiday be?
To date my best holiday was relaxing in the opulent
surroundings of Barbados on beautiful white beaches. I also
enjoyed trekking in the Atlas mountains in Morocco. If I
could combine those holidays it would be by visiting South
America and doing a bit of exploring.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity
					whom would you choose?
At the minute Britney Spears - taking your life in your
hands, but never a dull moment. Tattoos and skin-heads all
					the way.
If you were stranded on a desert island
what three things would you want with you?
While I don't actually own one an ipod would be a must,
a mobile phone which is never too far from my side and an
Xbox complete with Pro-evo - according to my mates I could
					do with the practice.

					FAVOURITE THINGS.....
