Mallon, 19, from Stoneyford is in second year at Stranmillis
University College doing a degree in Education with History.
He recently represented the United Kingdom Youth Parliament
at the Republican Party National Convention in Minnesota. As
well as working part-time as a swimming instructor and life
guard he is chairman of the UK Youth Parliament and is also
on the Executive of the Northern Ireland Youth Forum and a
youth leader for Belfast City Council Youth Forum.
What do you like doing on your day off?
I like to relax and meet up with friends
If you were to choose your favourite
meal what would it be, where and why?
Good old fashioned British Fish and Chips!
What has been your proudest moment?
My proudest moment was receiving the highest award in
the Scout Association - The Queen's Scout Award.
What was the most frightening moment of your
life?
Not Sure.
How would you describe your taste in
clothes?
Smart/Casual.
What would you do if you won a million
pounds?
Share most of it equally among my family and give
a portion to charity.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
Not Sure
What music do you like?
Relaxing music.
What sports person do you most admire?
David Healy. Simply because he is a legend of Northern
Irish football.
Describe your best ever holiday. What
would your dream holiday be?
My recent trip to the United States was my best holiday.
Although this was officially not a holiday I
thoroughly enjoyed it.
What is your greatest remaining ambition?
My greatest ambition remaining is to become a
politician.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity
whom would you choose?
Margaret Thatcher simply because she is an iconic figure
in British politics.
If you were stranded on a desert island
what three things would you want with you?
A decent book, a notebook and pen and a survival pack.
