					 Q&A

					 JOANNA
Hyndman,17, from Anahilt is playing Mabel in Fusion
Theatre's production of Pirates of Penzance which runs April
16-19 at the Island Arts Centre. Her passion is music
theatre and she hopes to go to performing arts school.
What do you like doing on your day off?
When I do find some spare hours I love going out
shopping or partying with my friends and if I'm staying in I
will either be eating, sleeping or watching TV/movies.

If you were to choose your favourite meal
					what would it be?
My favourite meal is pasta carbonara

What has been your proudest moment?
My most recent proudest moment has to be being chosen to
have a vocal masterclass with Elaine Paige through a theatre
					group I'm in called MT4Uth.

What was the most frightening moment of
					your life?
You would think that being on stage in front of hundreds
of people would be pretty scary but it doesn't even come
close to doing my diploma singing exam last June in front of
just one examiner - luckily I passed.

How would you describe your taste in
					clothes?
I wear quite a wide range in clothes so I don't think I
have one specific taste but I definitely love unusual pieces
that no one else has and love shopping in markets for
					scarves and hats especially.

What would you do if you won a million pounds?
I'd probably buy houses in London or New York since I
hope to move to either of these in roughly a year to do
music theatre and it would be nice not to have to worry
about student loans and paying rent.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
It has to be falling flat on my face while walking onto
stage when I was doing a performance with YMT in the summer
					last year.

					What music do you like?
Obviously I'm crazy about music because I'm so into
singing. I love basically any music going. except for maybe
					heavy death metal.

What sports person do you most admire?
I don't really pay attention to sports that much. I love
David Beckham but because I want to look at him all day. And
I'll get murdered if I don't say Alan Shearer because I
					supposedly support Newcastle.

Describe your best ever holiday. What would
					your dream holiday be?
My dream holiday is actually happening this summer. I am
back packing around Tanzania with 17 of my friends. trekking
up mountains for a week then going on safari and also
helping out in orphanages and schools in the local villages.

What is your greatest remaining ambition?
My dream, which I have had since I can remember. is to
					be on stage.

If you could spend a day with a celebrity
					whom would you choose?
I would definitely choose Russell Brand as I think he is
the funniest person ever and would just laugh all day.

If you were stranded on a desert island what
three things would you want with you?
Some form of music as I can't live without it, my best
friend as I also can't live without him and probably a
notebook so as I could write song lyrics and thoughts.

					FAVOURITE THINGS.....
