KARAN Gibson, 17, from Dromore, is an A-level student the the Lisburn campus of the South Eastern Regional college. She has been finding out what life is like as a Journalist at the Star. In her spare time Karan likes to play the guitar.

What do you like doing on your day off?
Just having fun and going out with my friends.

If you were to choose your favourite meal what would it be, where and why?
A Chinese because its the yummiest food ever.

What has been your proudest moment?
So far it's still passing GCSE Science.

What was the most frightening moment of your life?
When I realised the summer was over and I was back at college the next day.

How would you describe your taste in clothes?
Umm...fashionable-ish, but with some of my ideas thrown in.

What would you do if you won a million pounds?
Jump around screaming, then go on a very long, very expensive and very fun holiday.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
I constantly embarrass myself, so nothing really stands out. I have so far tripped three times today in public, and screamed as a pigeon flew right at me - I hate pigeons.

What music do you like?
Everything except dance. Mostly indie rock and general rock. Paramore's my favourite band.

What sports person do you most admire?
I don't really have much of an interest in sports.

Describe your best ever holiday?
My best ever holiday was in Majorca last summer with my family, it was just really fun, people are so nice and it looked really pretty.

What would your dream holiday be?
My dream holiday would be the one I could afford with a million pounds.

What is your greatest remaining ambition?
To sky dive!

If you could spend a day with a celebrity whom would you choose?
Gwen Steffani, just cause she's cool.

If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you want with you?
My mobile, a TV and something that would enable me to use electrical items on a desert island.
