					 Q&A

					 KAREN
Hewitt, 39, lives in Hillsborough with her husband and
four children. She worked as a nurse before becoming a full
time mum. Last year she was asked to co-ordinate the RAW
Outdoor Adventure Festival and recently set up an Event
Management business jkevents Ltd. with Jacqueline Boyd. The
ladies are looking forward to their first event -
Hillsborough's Taste of Autumn which is happening in
					Hillsborough Village Centre 28 October - 1 Nov 2008.
What do you like doing on your day
					off?
I like to go out with the family for the day. A walk
around the forest park followed by lunch or if its raining
we like to go to the cinema with a big box of popcorn.
If you were to choose your favourite
meal what would it be, where and why?
I love going to the Plough Inn in Hillsborough. It's
great to be able to stroll home after.
What has been your proudest moment?
That's always to do with my children. When each of them
was born I was so happy. They make me proud all the time
with the things they do and say.

What was the most frightening moment of your life?
My youngest child spent 10 days in the neo- natal unit
when he was born. It was the scariest time even though the
nurses and doctors were attentive and said he would get
					well, which he thankfully did.

How would you describe your taste in
					clothes?
I always like to look feminine.

What would you do if you won a million
					pounds?
Share a bit, save a bit and spend a bit.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
I was singing in the shower- badly -when I was living in
a student house. I thought I was home alone only to discover
when I came out of the bathroom that my flat mates had
brought several people home for coffee.

					What music do you like?
I like music that you can both dance and run to as I
have recently started to run. Particularly like Sam Sparro
					and Kate Nash.

What sports person do you most admire?
Lance Armstrong. He has beaten the odds to be the best
					at his sport.

Describe your best ever holiday. What would
					your dream holiday be?
The best holiday I have had was in fact my last
one to Center Parcs. The kids had so much to do and had
great fun doing it. We cycled loads every day and loved
eating out every night. I would love to bring the children
to Disneyland in Florida and then spend sometime travelling
					around America.

What is your greatest remaining ambition?
I want to make a success of this new event management
business, create lots of family events and create a new buzz
					around Hillsborough

If you could spend a day with a celebrity
					whom would you choose?
Ricky Gervais. He is funny, motivated, down to earth and
very successful at everything he does.
If you were stranded on a desert
island what three things would you want with you?
I would take my ipod my trainers and a crate of good
					books.
