Mark Clougherty, 35, who is in remission from testicular cancer will run the Edinburgh marathon later this month to raise money for the Everyman cancer charity. He lives in Lisburn with his wife Jennifer and three children Cieran 11, Rhys 10 and Niamh 4 and is originally from Clydebank.

What do you like doing on your day off?
I love playing, coaching and watching football. I am also partial to the odd game of golf.

If you were to choose your favourite meal what would it be, where and why?
Steak and chips with pepper sauce from any good steak house.

What has been your proudest moment?
The birth of my three children and my wife being accepted at Queen's University for the Midwifery course

What was the most frightening moment of your life?
Being diagnosed with testicular cancer

How would you describe your taste in clothes?
Vintage/casual

What would you do if you won �1 M?
I would take the family to Disney World and make a donation towards cancer research.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
I'm to embarrassed to say.

What music do you like?
Everything from rock to classical

What sports person do you admire?
Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong who recovered from cancer to win the race several times.

Describe your best ever holiday.
My favourite was a family holiday in Aviemore in 2006. It was my first holiday since being treated for testicular cancer. Disney World would be brilliant to go to so I could see the look of enjoyment on my kids' faces.

What is your greatest ambition?
To enjoy the things that I once took for granted and complete the Edinburgh Marathon.

If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you want with you?
I-Pod, my mobile phone and Danni Minogue
