Stephen Brennan, 17, is in the show Calamity Jane with Fusion Theatre which runs until January 31 at Lisburn's Island Arts Centre. He is in Lower 6th and studying Drama, History and RE for A-Level. He also plays basketball for Queen's basketball club.
What do you like doing on your day off
Well when I get a day off (a very rare occasion), I would probably just
sit about the house because someone has to look after the wee German
Shepherd pup. I might go to gym though, to get out of the house for a
little while.
If you were to choose your favourite meal what would
it be, where and why?
It would have to be my mum's Mexican Lasagne, and it would have to be in
the kitchen. The reason for this choice is that if anyone had tried it
they would agree it is the nicest meal you could have, well if you like
hot, spicy, food.
What has been your proudest moment?
Well my proudest moment would have been going to the Waterford
Festival of Light Opera with Fusion theatre (twice) I was more proud
just to be part of the group as it did so well, and still is.
What was the most frightening moment of your life?
Most
frightening moment of my life, that's a hard one. I would say it would
have been when I was a child but can't remember now though.
How would you describe your taste in clothes?
Very good. Well sort of. I work in a clothes shop so
I would say I have a good taste in clothes. I have a batman belt. Do I
need to say more? I have a problem getting shoes though my feet are too
big (size 12 and a wee bit).
What would you do if you won a million pounds?
I would give some to my parents (that's my caring
side) because they have spent enough on me, then I would buy a car and
save the rest (wouldn't work too well though).
What was your most embarrassing moment?
I don't get embarrassed. Ok, that was a lie. I don't
think I get embarrassed too much.
What sports person do you most admire?
The sports person I most admire would probably be Pat
Burke, this is because he was the first Irish person to play in the NBA.
There's still hope for me yet.
Describe your best ever holiday. What would your
dream holiday be?
My favourite holiday must be New Zealand; it is
such a clean and beautiful place. And everyone is so friendly, that is
my ideal holiday as well.
What is your greatest remaining ambition?
I have too much ambition but my main one is too do
well in my A-Levels and go on and possibly do something drama or sports
related in university.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity whom would
you choose?
Well without a doubt it would have to be Jonny Depp as
he is my idol. He is just an amazing actor.
