Lauren Hanna, 16, is a Drum Major with Drumlough Pipe Band, Hillsborough and was recently crowned World Juvenile Champion Drum Major at Glasgow Green. She is a Lower Sixth student at Dromore High School studying four AS levels.
What do you like doing on your day off?
I usually like to go shopping or to the cinema with my friends.
If you were to choose your favourite meal what would it be, where and
why?
My favourite meal is my Mum's roast beef dinner with all the trimmings
because it is delicious.
What has been your proudest moment?
That would definitely have to be when I won the world Juvenile Grade
title at the World Pipe Band Championships at Glasgow this year.
What was the most frightening moment of your life?
A few years ago when I visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach and my Dad took
me into the 'Pasaje del Terror. There were live actors including Freddy
Krueger who jumped out at you in dark alleyways and gave you an intense
fright.
How would you describe your taste in clothes?
My taste changes from day to day, but normally I would just weal skinny
jeans and a pretty top.
What would you do if you won a million pounds?
Spend, spend, spend!
What was your most embarrassing moment?
I can't think of one moment in particular, but it would definitely
include my Dad.
What music do you like?
I like pop and R&B music like Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
Describe your best ever holiday.
In summer 2011 when I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise of the
Mediterranean. It was absolutely amazing.
What is your greatest ambition?
Obviously, my ambition is to do well in my A Levels, but I also have an
ambition to become World Champion again in the Senior grade.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity whom would you choose?
I would choose Cheryl Cole because she has achieved everything through
hard work and is a role model for young people.
If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you
want with you?
The first would definitely have to be my mobile phone, I can't live
without it. My second thing would be my iPod, and third would be a boat.
