Leanne Brown, 27, from Moira, is a well known hairdresser in the area. She recently took the plunge and opened her own business in Lurgan and is enjoying being her own boss. She lives with her husband Simon and their puppy.
What do you like doing on your day off?
I love the usual girlie things, shopping and going for lunch.
If you were to choose your favorite meal what would it be, where and why?
Spaghetti Bolognaise, childhood memories. My mum got a recipe for it when
her and dad were in Rome on Honeymoon so it's an authentic Italian recipe
and it's gorgeous.
What has been your proudest moment?
The first day I opened the salon in Lurgan. I never thought I would have the
confidence to open up on my own but with the support of my friends and
family, I have.
What was the most frightening moment of your life?
Opening up on my own in Lurgan. I was definitely terrified at the thought of
"what if it doesn't do well" but I can now say that it was the best thing
I've ever done.
How would you describe your taste in clothes?
It's part of my job to keep up to date with Fashion. Although I wouldn't say
I'm a fashionista I do try to keep up with the trend.
What would you do if you won a million pounds?
I'd buy a holiday home in Italy. We were there in the summer for my
sister-in-laws wedding and it was gorgeous. I'd buy a bigger family home
here first though, then a big shopping spree in New York with my husband
Simon.
What music do you like?
R&B, Dance, Pop, Country, I listen to everything really
What sports person do you most admire?
David Beckham.
Describe your best ever holiday. What would your dream holiday be?
A South African safari followed by a week lying up in the sun then home via
the Atlantis hotel in Dubai - heaven.
What is your greatest remaining ambition?
To have a successful business and a healthy, happy family someday.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity whom would you choose?
Gino D'Acampo - he's just so funny and easy on the eye. Plus he could give
me a few top tips for the kitchen.
If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you want
with you?
An axe, a hammock and my BlackBerry.
