Women's World Day of Prayer
WOMEN from churches across the whole Lisburn area will unite for 'Women's World Day of Prayer' at various local venues next Friday evening March 2.
The worship programme has been prepared by Christian women of Malaysia and is based on the theme 'Let justice prevail'.
Boardmills and Killaney area churches: Boardmills and Killaney area churches will hold their service in Magheradroll Parish Church, Ballynahinch at 8.00pm. The speaker will be Mrs. Freda Adair, St John's, Newcastle.
Dromara area churches: Dromara area churches will hold their service in St John's Parish Church, Dromara at 8.00pm. The speaker will be Miss Ruth Kearney, Lisburn Baptist Church.
Dunmurry area churches: Dunmurry area churches will hold their service in Dunmurry Presbyterian Church at 7.30pm. The speaker will be Felicity McCartney.
Glenavy and Crumlin area churches: Glenavy and Crumlin area churches will hold their service in Ballinderry Moravian Church at 8.00pm. The speaker will be the Rev Grace Clunie, Director of Celtic Spirituality, St Patrick's Cathedral, Armagh.
Lisburn area churches: Lisburn area churches Women's World Day of Prayer will be held in Magheragall Methodist Church on Friday 2nd March at 8.00pm. The speaker will be Mrs. Sandra Matthews, Faith Mission.
Maze area churches: Maze area churches will hold their service in Eglantine Parish Church at 7.30pm. The service will be led by Mrs. Alison Leckey, Eglantine Mothers' Union Chairperson. Supper will be served afterwards in the parish hall.
Moira area churches: Moira area churches will hold their service in Moira Methodist Church at 8.00pm. The speaker will be Mrs. Hazel Loney, wife of the new minister.
Services in Thompson House & Blaris Fold: There will also be services in Thompson House and Blaris Fold. The service in Thompson House will be held on Thursday morning March 1 at 11.00am led by Mrs. Hazel Mercer, Broomhedge and Magheragall Methodist Church. The service in Blaris Fold will be held on Friday afternoon March 2 at 2.00pm led by Miss Margaret Young, Magheragall Methodist Church.
Everyone is warmly invited - men, women and young people. Whichever local venue you choose to attend — you will be most welcome.
