ANDREW McMurray, 19, from Ballinderry, is a business management university student has set up the The Agape Foundation after spending his gap year in Ghana and has long term goals to set up an orphanage in Africa.
What do you like doing on your day off?
I need a day of chilling when I get the chance. I love to have
a bit of a lie in then get up, visit some friends, get some things
ticked off my to do list, and of course, a nice meal out is hard to beat
on a day off.
If you were to choose your favorite meal what would it be,
where and why?
That's a tricky one, I am a big fan of food. Anything with a
lot of meat usually goes done well. Hard to beat a big barbeque with the
family at home or friends on the beach
What has been your proudest moment?
Moments when I lived in Ghana I would just look and think what
I difference I had made and it would spur me on.
What was the most frightening moment of your life?
Touching a crocodile was slightly scary I guess, but I'm not
easily frightened.
How would you describe your taste in clothes?
I would like to think of them as reasonably trendy, but I'm not
a big spender on clothes. If they keep me warm, they'll do the job.
What would you do if you won a million pounds?
First I would fulfill my dream and build an orphanage for
pregnant, rejected teenagers in Ghana. After that, I would probably
invest a bit so I can sustain the orphanage, and use a bit to travel.
What music do you like?
I like anything easy going, Coldplay, Snowpatrol or some more
folk style, I'm happy with the lot of it. Just nothing heavy metal.
What sports person do you most admire?
Euan Murray of the Scotland rugby team for standing up for
something even when it cost him.
Describe your best ever holiday. What would your dream
holiday be?
Guess it has to be back in 2008 with my family when we went to
New York and a few other cities in America. I would love to travel the
world, Vietnam, Asia and Brazil are high up the list.
What is your greatest remaining ambition?
To build an orphanage in Ghana.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity whom would you
choose?
Sir Alan Sugar - could learn a thing or two from him.
If you were stranded on a desert island what three things
would you want with you?
Bible, knife and some music
