KATHERINE Martin, 17, from Saintfield is studying for AS Levels in History, Geography, Religious Studies and Politics at Down High School. She spent a week on Work experience at the Star and is considering pursuing a career in Journalism.
What do you like doing on your day off?
Most weekends are spent catching up on all TV series I've missed over
the week and meeting up with friends.
If you were to choose your favourite meal what would it be, where and
why?
Sunday lunch, it's always been my favourite meal, cooked by my lovely
Mum of course.
What has been your proudest moment?
Working hard for my exams and getting grades I wanted on results day.
What was the most frightening moment of your life?
I'm learning to drive and since I've started there have been a few near
misses which have been pretty scary.
How would you describe your taste in clothes?
Usually it's pretty casual
What would you do if you won a million pounds?
Go shopping.
What music do you like?
Anything really, I'm not fussy
What sports person do you most admire?
From the past, Eric Liddel is a great inspiration.
Describe your best ever holiday. What would your dream holiday be?
I've visited Norway and loved it, the scenery was amazing and the people
were very friendly. In the future I would love to visit either Canada or
the USA.
What is your greatest remaining ambition?
I'd love to spend a year and travel the world.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity whom would you choose?
I'd love to spend a day at the White House and see what Mr Obama and Mrs
Clinton get up to.
If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you
want with you?
Lots of books including Robinson Crusoe, some music and a torch.
