What do you like doing on your day off?
As I'm kept pretty busy with work and family commitments, I like to
spend any time off catching up with my friends.
If you were to choose your favourite meal what would it be, where and
why?
Del Toro in Lisburn does a great steak, but I love my own Christmas
dinner at home and
look forward to it every year!
What has been your proudest moment?
My two children are a constant source of pride, but on a professional
level it would be when Ciara Daly handpicked me to be part of her elite
team of makeup artists.
What was the most frightening moment of your life?
Definitely when we lost our daughter aged three at the time on the beach
in Salou. She was only out of our sight for a couple of minutes but it
was the longest, scariest two minutes of my life.
How would you describe your taste in clothes?
Pretty casual most of the time but I do love to get glammed up for a
night out. I've also got a bit of an expensive handbag habit.
What would you do if you won a million pounds?
Probably the same as most people, pay off my mortgage, spend some, save
some and donate some to charity.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
When I fell over in the salon in front of clients and workmates and
broke my wrist. As I had been straightening a client's hair at the time,
everyone thought I must have been electrocuted or something but the
reality was that I just tripped over my own feet.
What music do you like?
A really varied range of stuff. Pop, rock, soul, from Adele to Nirvana,
Otis Redding and AC/ DC
What sports person do you most admire?
I recently had the pleasure of doing makeup for Olympic gold medalist
Dame Mary Peters, she's such an inspiration.
Describe your best ever holiday. What would your dream holiday be?
I've had some great holidays but probably the best was when my husband
took me to Dubai for my 40th birthday. Five star all the way. My dream
holiday would be to go back but bring the kids to experience it all too.
Desert safaris, sand dune buggys, traditional belly dancing and camel
rides. Amazing.
What is your greatest remaining ambition?
I don't have a great ambition as such, more a series of goals, and ifs
simply to keep working hard, develop the makeup side of my business, and
I'd love to do an Illamasqua Makeup course in London.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity whom would you choose?
This is probably a cliché but I'd like to spend a day with Victoria
Beckham.
If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you
want with you?
My phone, my Kindle (of course the island would have Wi-Fi!) and a large
cool box filled with wine and cheese.
