SIERZ F. PRETKIEWICZ A connection in Poland told me that Sergeant Pretkiewicz was killed in a Hurricane crash when he tried to bail out following engine failure. His parachute was caught in the fuselage. He had escaped Poland via Romania I cannot confirm or stand over this as it came from a secondary source and I haven't been able to investigate it further.
